Can you imagine a world 82 years from now? Chances are, many of us won’t be around to see the year 2100… But who will? Sons, daughters, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren…
Be part of the Bedford Heights Time Capsule.
To be buried in the grounds of the new reception.
Take a snapshot of 2018 life in a photo and put it in the Bedford Heights Time Capsule.
Can you imagine a world 82 years from now? Of course, it’s difficult, as innovation and technology seem to propel us forward each and every year, it’s hard to perceive a world that will look so different. Chances are, many of us won’t be around to see the year 2100… but who will? Sons, daughters, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren could all be making their mark in the world by then. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to be able to show them what a snapshot of 2018 life looked like with just a single photo? This is exactly what we plan to do.
To celebrate the opening of the new reception, we wanted to mark the occasion with something that had real significance to each and every person that currently works within the fabrics of the building. We all work alongside one another on a daily basis and of course, we are all colleagues to one another. The important thing is, however, is that the fact that we all share one thing in common. We are all part of the Bedford Heights family, and this is what we should all be proud to celebrate.
Bedford in itself is a small town, but we all play a massive part in each other’s daily lives, and this is something that we want to convey to the people that will be looking at this time capsule in 82 years time. Memories are not something that should just be spoken about – a photograph can say a thousand words, and collection of photographs from all of us will really portray Bedford Heights in it’s the best light.
In June of this year, we want you to be a part of the Bedford Heights story and for you to take a photograph of yourself. This will then be used in a photo album that will be frozen in time and won’t be opened again until the beginning of the next century. The photo can be of you in any scene, perhaps it could be a picture of you at a wedding that you attended last summer, an image of you when you were nicely tanned on holiday, or a simple photo of you sitting at your desk at the BH building. As long as the photo is clear, it will be perfect to be placed in the Bedford Heights Time Capsule.
